FULLY ALIVE MEDICINE (FAM)
FAMily Practice for the Whole Person: Body, Mind, & Spirit
Nothing is more suitable for care of the soul than family ~ Thomas Moore FAM Mission:
- To establish a new standard for
state-of-the art 21st Century Healthcare.
- To serve our community as
healers and teachers, through facilitating the self-healing process of our
patients and students, and to demonstrate exceptional self-care in our
personal lives.
FAM is a holistic family practice
serving Boulder County, Denver, and the entire Colorado community. Based
in Boulder, our practice is focused on treating
and preventing chronic dis-ease and teaching optimal self-care. Our primary
care practitioners – Drs. Ivker
and Nelson collectively have over 70
years of clinical experience in the Boulder/Denver area. They are
complemented by a local network of gifted holistic healers and teachers.
The FAM approach is unique in a variety of ways. Our FAM family consists
of a group of dedicated practitioners and teachers who have chosen to work
together, harnessing our collective energy to facilitate consistently successful treatment outcomes for those we
serve.
We
are one of the only medical practices in the U.S. collecting outcomes data from
every patient who chooses to commit to our comprehensive and individualized
3-month treatment program. We utilize our outcomes-based reporting to
track the progress of your treatment program. Obtaining the result you want is
our primary goal. This ongoing feedback provides our patients and
students with the highest standard of quality healthcare, while also helping
our staff to improve treatment outcomes. Our most successful results
have come from working with people suffering with the diseases and chronic
conditions listed on the Home
Page.
The FAM team combines the best of modern medicine along with safe and effective
complementary therapies and educational programs to help you create an
empowering self-care treatment program.
The
FAM Family Practice currently operating out of two Boulder offices, represents
the initial step in the creation of the FAM
Healing Center. This treatment, health education, and retreat facility is
expected to open in Boulder by early 2014.
Staffed by a team of practitioners who have attained a level of mastery
in their unique healing art, it will house treatment and consultation rooms,
classrooms, and retreat facilities including dining and sleeping rooms. The FAM
Center will help us integrate the profound changes currently transforming our
lives and our planet, and become effective caretakers of ourselves and the new
Earth.
What does it mean to be fully alive?
Fully
alive is being fully conscious, a heightened state of self awarenesss, and the sense of feeling whole,
healed, and healthy physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and
socially. It is the unlimited and unimpeded free flow of life force energy
(chi, ki, pranna, chai, Tao) through your body, mind, emotions, and soul. This
state of optimal well-being results from your committed effort to rejuvenating
your body, inspiring your mind, opening your heart, and soothing your soul. It defines your new reality and manifests as
the life of your dreams. This energy of aliveness is infused by a sense of
knowing that unconditional love is life’s most powerful healer, and the
perceived loss of love, our greatest health risk. In short, you feel full…of
aliveness!
Fully
Alive Medicine (FAM), available to anyone choosing to practice it, serves as a
guide to your own unique state of being fully alive. We’ll help you create a
life that you find meaningful, inspiring, enlivening, fulfilling, and fun. Our FAM practice can guide you in this
transformative process, as we help you to initially overcome the challenge of a
chronic illness. As you’ve already
discovered, it’s tough to enjoy life when you’re living with chronic pain,
dysfunction, or disability.
Exceptional self-care is the art and science of
practicing loving and nurturing yourself back to optimal health, by making
lifestyle and therapy choices that naturally restore optimal function.
The FAM team is committed to individually practicing exceptional self-care in
our own lives. Beyond being a clinical team, we are a family of friends and
colleagues based on love, service, laughter, and the experience of being fully
alive!
Together, we are a heart-centered community, providing services and educational
programs that help you and your family enjoy being fully alive!
